OT for Autism, ADHD and Developmental Delay

OT for Autism, ADHD and Developmental Delay

OT for Autism, ADHD and Developmental Delay:
Our OT  uses a holistic approach in planning therapy programs.

We take into account the physical, social, emotional, sensory and cognitive abilities and needs of our clients through our clinical assessments.

We then conduct intervention programs to help them achieve optimal independence in their activities of daily living.

Sensorintegration Training:
A specialty area of OT that is based on over 40 years of theory and research.  Our OT is able to conduct assessments including standardized testing, systematic observation, and parent or teacher interviews that identify patterns of sensory integration dysfunction and follow up with intervention strategies that enhance information processing, praxis, and engagement in daily life for individuals, populations and organizations.

Behavioural Modification:
Behaviour Modification Therapy is a strategy to change certain habits and behaviour by increasing the frequency of acceptable (wanted) behaviour and decreasing the frequency of unacceptable behaviour via purposeful activities. This is particularly useful for clients with challenging behaviour which is hard to be tackled by parents or teachers.

OT for dyslexia:
Our OT uses techniques such as multi-sensory approach, visual prompts, visual strategies and letter formation practice to train children with dyslexia, helping them to overcome their reading and writing difficulties.

Reading is a key occupation. When Reading foundations are included in occupational therapy regime, children began to cope quicker and easier at school.
