
Chua Pei Shan
Principal Physiotherapist
As a fully registered Physiotherapist under the Allied Health Professional Council in Singapore since 2011.
Shan spent 10 years working in the community rehabilitation setting in the St Luke’s ecosystem (hospital and eldercare) before starting her private practice. Her specialty is in stroke rehabilitation.
In her pursuit of providing a higher quality of care, Shan studied two years of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Tui Na (推拿) and currently combines both western and eastern medicine concepts into her practice to further increase the efficacy of treatment.
Having worked through the Singapore healthcare system, Shan appreciates the importance and value of providing holistic rehabilitation. She adopts the bio-psycho-socio-spiritual model of care where focus is not just on physical training but also taking into consideration the emotional state, social support and establishing spirituality of her patients.
As a strong advocate for education, Shan is currently imparting her skills and knowledge at Republic Polytechnic as an associate lecturer.
