Play Therapist
Iris holds a Graduate Certificate in Therapeutic Play from Academy of Play and Child Psychotherapy (United Kingdom). She has worked with children at Headstart for Life as well as in the international school setting. Iris has experience in helping children, both neurotypical and neurodivergent, explore and manage their emotional, behavioural and social difficulties. She believes that all children want to feel successful and accepted, and she takes a developmental approach while looking at the whole child. In the playroom, Iris has particular interest in the use of water to help facilitate her clients’ expression and processing.
Prior to her training, Iris was a journalist and also worked as a researcher, collaborating with individuals across various fields and from all walks of life. She has an eye for detail and is able to synthesize information from varied sources to help bring about new understanding. Iris also has experience volunteering at children’s homes.
Iris believes that every family has their unique journey and every child is a beautiful story unfolding.
Iris is conversant in English and Mandarin.
