Kavisha obtained her Bachelors of Speech Language Pathology and Audiology Degree from Sri Ramachandra Medical College, India and Masters in Cognitive Neuroscience from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM)

Kavisha started her working experience with adults and children with various communication disorders in India in different types of settings such as in hospitals, schools, and clinics.

Upon returning to Malaysia, she was offered a position in a private hospital where she provided assessment and therapy for children and adults with communication difficulties.  She then expanded her scope of practice in various settings, where she worked in a school environment with children of all ages and different conditions including Autism, Global Developmental Delay, Speech and Language Disorders etc.  This was an opportunity to work closely in a multidisciplinary team which helps to provide a holistic approach which highly benefits each client. She also continued to strengthen her clinical skills in working with adults with cognitive and swallowing difficulties to ensure she is able to manage a mixed caseload of clients. 

Kavisha is a strong believer in facilitating communication and swallowing disorders in children and adults by empowering caregivers with confidence and skills to care for their loved ones.  She also finds this career a very noble job and is very motivated to make a difference in the lives of those she serves.

Accreditations and Certifications in:

  • Masters in Cognitive Neuroscience (Universiti Sains Malaysia)
  • Bachelors in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology – First Class Honours (Sri Ramachandra Medical College)
  • Registered Speech Therapist under Malaysian Association of Speech- Language and Hearing (MASH)
