Dean is an experienced Senior Speech Therapist with a wealth of experience, specializing in adult patients within acute and rehabilitation settings. Over the course of her impressive twelve-year career, she has had the privilege of making a significant impact on the lives of individuals struggling with communication and swallowing disorders. Dean’s professional journey has taken her to esteemed private hospitals in Malaysia and a prestigious Mayo Clinic-affiliated hospital in the United Arab Emirates. 

Dean conducts comprehensive assessments, accurate diagnoses, and tailored therapy plans for adult patients. She has worked with adult patients across a wide range of disciplines such as High Dependency Units, Surgical, Oncology, Respiratory, Medical and Geriatric.

One of Dean’s notable skills lies in the performance of instrumental swallowing assessments. She is adept at conducting videofluoroscopic swallow studies (VFSS) and flexible endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES). Beyond her clinical responsibilities, Dean actively contributes to the development of services and the professional growth of her colleagues.

Her willingness to work closely with consultants, nurses, allied health professionals, and caregivers showcases her commitment to holistic patient well-being.  Dean’s philosophy revolves around delivering the best possible care to each patient through evidence-based practices. She recognizes the significance of educating family members and caregivers to ensure that patients receive continuous care and monitoring at home. Her emphasis on patient education underscores her dedication to the long-term health and success of her patients.
