Consultant Speech Therapist

Stacy is a fully registered speech and language therapist and a clinical supervisor under the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) in Singapore.
Stacy has been practising as a Speech Therapist in Singapore for more than 14 years. She graduated with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours) from La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia. She also has a Master of Science in Neuroscience, Language and Communication.
Stacy specialises in working with infants and children with feeding difficulties (e.g. oral aversion, food refusal, Pediatric Feeding Disorders(PFD)), swallowing impairments (dysphagia), developmental language disorders and speech and language delays/disorders. She is able to provide intervention for children with conditions such as Global Developmental Delay (GDD), genetic conditions (e.g. Down Syndrome), neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g. Autism Spectrum Disorder), neurological conditions (e.g. cerebral palsy, epilepsy), or prematurity.
 
From her years of experience in working in the Neonatal and Children Intensive Care Units (NICU, CICU), high dependency and neurorehabilitation wards, Stacy developed her expertise and passion in working with children of medically complex backgrounds, including those dependent on medical devices such as ventilators, tracheostomies and/or feeding tubes. She is also competent in conducting and interpreting objective swallow studies.
 
In her previous role, Stacy leveraged her advanced clinical knowledge and skills to develop training curriculums for speech therapists who were keen to specialise. She also worked closely with doctors and other allied health professionals (e.g. occupational therapists, physiotherapists, dietitians) and values a team-based approach.
 
Stacy believes in supporting each child to achieve his or her fullest potential through close collaboration and partnership with families, caregivers, teachers and/or therapists.
