Shan Heng

Principal Occupational Therapist

Shan Heng is a dedicated and fully registered occupational therapist accredited by the Singapore Association of Occupational Therapists (SAOT) and the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) of Singapore.

He holds a professional degree in Occupational Therapy from Queen Margaret University (United Kingdom) and brings over eight years of specialised clinical experience in paediatric care. 

Specialising in paediatric occupational therapy, Shan heng has cultivated expertise across diverse therapeutic environments, including the Early Intervention Programme for Infants and Children (EIPIC), Development Support and Learning Support (DSLS) programs, the Family Empowerment Programme (FEP), and international school settings. His practice emphasises a family-centered approach, prioritising collaboration with caregivers to empower them as essential partners in their child’s therapeutic journey. He firmly believes that equipping families with strategies and knowledge fosters sustained progress and enriches outcomes for children. 

Committed to evidence-based practice, Shan Heng actively pursues professional development to integrate contemporary methodologies into his work. He is certified in Sensory Integration techniques, employing this approach to address sensory processing challenges and support children’s functional development. His practice is further guided by a passion for innovation and a commitment to personalised, holistic care. With a focus on nurturing growth, independence, and meaningful participation in daily life, Shan Heng remains dedicated to advancing the well-being of his clients through compassionate, client-centred therapy.
