AMAZING SPEECH THERAPY is started from a simple dream from our founder Beatrice Teo. With a desire to break out of traditional speech therapy boundaries and a vision to INNOVATE and CREATE NEW POSSIBILITIES for those living with communication and swallowing difficulties, she started her private practice in April 2016. Over the years, we have expanded our team of dynamic and passionate specialist speech therapists who all believed in the same vision and to genuinely make a difference in someone’s lives.

We provide diagnosis and treatment for speech, language, voice and swallowing difficulties. We serve clients across all ages, providing high quality personalised speech therapy sessions both in the clinic and at our clients’ homes. 

For clients who prefer online speech therapy, we help them focus on recovery through our digital platform at TeleHope.sg. With TeleHope, our clients have the flexibility to receive therapy on any device, anywhere at their convenience.

ABOUT BEATRICE TEO 

FOUNDER, DIRECTOR

As a fully registered Speech Therapist under the Allied Health Professional Council in Singapore, Beatrice Teo has many years of experience working in National University Hospital (NUH) and Gleneagles Hospital before starting her private practice. 

Beatrice is a dedicated Speech Therapist who is passionate about helping her patients improve and recover. Driven by a determination to help her patients improve, Beatrice combines traditional therapy techniques with new evidence-based approaches to tailor the best treatment plan for her patients.  She treats all her patients genuinely and provides them with the best care. Beatrice is known to achieve success in even the most complex cases and is trusted by many renowned doctors and healthcare professionals.

Beatrice is also actively involved in giving talks to doctors, nurses and the public to raise awareness of the benefits of Speech Therapy. She also aims to inspire those living with speech and swallowing difficulties not to lose hope and helps them improve their quality of life.

Beatrice is a certified AHPC supervisor, thus she has trained many Speech Therapists to achieve their clinical competency in the past 9 years as a Speech Therapist.

ABOUT MOONA ISLAM

PRINCIPAL SPEECH THERAPIST

Moona is from London and has been practising as a Speech Therapist for almost 10 years. She has been working in Singapore for 4 years and is a fully registered Speech Therapist as well as a clinical supervisor under the Allied Health Professional Council in Singapore. Moona graduated with a Masters’ degree from City, University of London.

Moona specialises in working with children with complex needs, trained in both communication and swallowing disorders. Moona has gained extensive knowledge and skills working with infants, children and adolescents with mild to severe disorders, including challenging behaviour.

She uses a holistic approach to achieve the best possible outcomes. Moona has worked with clients from multicultural backgrounds, is respectful and able to adapt accordingly.

Moona’s greatest hope is to develop innovative solutions to help as many clients (children and adults) to access proper Speech Therapy services, as well as raise awareness locally and internationally.

ABOUT VIVIAN TAN

PRINCIPAL SPEECH THERAPIST

Vivian is a fully registered Speech Therapist with the Allied Health Professional Council. She also has clinical education experience and is a certified clinical supervisor. Vivian holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology) from the University of Sydney.

Vivian has more than 10 years of experience working in hospital, school and private settings. She has advanced clinical skills in the assessment and management of a wide range of paediatric speech, language and communication disorders. Vivian is a strong proponent of child-centred and family-centred practise. She believes in empowering parents to support their children’s potential with collaborative work.

ABOUT JUNWEI ZHENG

PRINCIPAL SPEECH THERAPIST

Jun is a fully registered speech and language therapist and a clinical supervisor under the Allied Health Professional Council in Singapore and is also accredited under the Speech Pathology Australia.

 Jun has been practicing as a Speech Therapist for 10 years. She is skilled in working with both adults, adolescents and children across domains of Speech Therapy. Jun has worked extensively with adult patients across different specialisation including head and neck cancer, burns trauma, palliative care, geriatrics, respiratory as well as neurological origins. Her clinical experience also extends working with children with children with autisum spectrum disorders, developmental language disorders, speech and language delays / disorders. She is also highly experienced in treating individuals across the ages with fluency disorders.

Jun believes in a collaborative approach with clients and/or their caregivers to achieve the best possible outcomes.

ABOUT FREDA LEE

SENIOR SPEECH THERAPIST

Freda is a fully registered Speech-Language Therapist under the Allied Health Professional Council in Singapore. She graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with a Masters in Speech and Language Pathology in 2015. She has since been working with children and teenagers with special needs.

Freda specializes and has years of experience in the area of paediatrics, in particular, children and teenagers with Global Developmental Delay (GDD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Down’s Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and other multiple disabilities. She is knowledgeable and skilled in a wide range of communication, speech and language delays/disorders, and complex feeding and swallowing difficulties.

Freda is passionate in her work with children. She believes that children learn best through meaningful and enjoyable engagement. She also strongly believes that parent/caregiver involvement is key to any child’s ability to reach their utmost potential. She assists parents/caregivers in this process through close collaboration and by enskilling them, empowering them to feel confident in helping their child to progress. Her endearing nature helps her to build good and strong rapport with her client and their families.

Freda also provides training/sharing sessions for teachers and parent education through various workshops. She is also involved in professional outreach projects in Vietnam, where she has conducted workshops for special needs teachers in the area of speech, language and communication. She is also licensed under AHPC to clinically supervise new speech therapists.

ABOUT SITI MUSA

SENIOR SPEECH THERAPIST

Siti is a fully registered speech and language therapist and a clinical supervisor under the Allied Health Professional Council in Singapore and is also accredited under the Speech Pathology Australia.

In Australia, she had worked with children from birth to school-age children focusing on speech and language delay/disorders and stuttering. She worked mainly in community settings, schools, hospitals, and rural settings.

In Singapore, Siti’s work experience encompassed a diverse range of paediatric clinical experiences. She had worked in a voluntary welfare organisation and private therapy centre where she sees birth to school-age children with multiple medical conditions, childhood apraxia of speech, speech and language delay or disorder, autism, and global developmental delay.

Siti’s cheerful and bubbly character, and her passion to work with children allows her to build rapport easily with her clients. Siti’s passion and determination are also reflected in her efforts to go the extra mile for the child and support parents through this difficult journey.

ABOUT BRENDA BOH

SENIOR SPEECH THERAPIST 

Brenda is a fully registered Speech-Language Therapist and a clinical supervisor under the Allied Health Professions Council in Singapore. She graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Masters in Speech and Language Pathology.

She started her Speech Therapy journey in Singapore General Hospital (SGH) in 2015. In the acute hospital and rehabilitation setting, she acquired training in managing babies, children and adults with feeding, swallowing, speech, language, voice and cognitive impairments.

Brenda has worked with adult patients across a wide range of disciplines, such as Geriatric, Surgical, Oncology, Cardiology, Respiratory and Neurology. Her clinical experience also extends to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and High Dependency wards, where she was trained to evaluate preterm and term babies with bottling difficulties and potential swallowing disorders. She has also assessed babies with feeding difficulties by checking their oral-motor skills and possible sensitivities that impact their overall acceptance of food.

Brenda enjoys working and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic management for patients. She delights in sharing and imparting knowledge and clinical skills to new and junior Speech Therapists through clinical supervision and mentoring. Brenda also believes in empowering caregivers by educating them and providing info-counselling to facilitate rehabilitation and recovery of speech, language and swallowing impairments.

ISABEL TROMANS

ABOUT ISABEL TROMANS

SENIOR SPEECH THERAPIST 
HEAD OF EARLY INTERVENTION PROGRAMME

Isabel holds full registration and clinical supervisory status with the Allied Health Professional Council in Singapore. She is also a member of the Therapist Neurodiversity Collective. She graduated from the University of Sydney and is also accredited under Speech Pathology Australia. 

Isabel works with both adults and children and is able to converse fluently in English, Mandarin and Malay. She is a passionate advocate for client-led, person-centred care and has over 8 years of experience working in the field of disability and rehabilitation. Drawing on her previous work experience as a Special Education teacher and a Rehabilitation Aide in both Singapore and Australia, Isabel has a knack for finding out what makes a person ‘tick’ and endeavors to provide her clients with evidence-based treatment and support. 

She has a bubbly, cheerful disposition and never shies from a challenge. Isabel has dedicated years of her career serving the adult and geriatric population in Government Restructured Hospitals across the acute, sub-acute, rehab and outpatient settings and also has extensive experience working with adults and children with fluency disorders (e.g. Stuttering and Cluttering). 

Isabel is a strong believer in fostering not just awareness but also acceptance of the Autistic community and strives to provide trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming care. She hopes to work towards a more inclusive society for the benefit of current and future generations. 

When she’s not seeing clients or reading up on the latest research, Isabel enjoys dancing and spending time with her son.

Deborah is fully registered Speech and Language Therapist under the Allied Health Professionals Council in Singapore. She holds a Bachelor of Science (Speech Pathology) from Curtin University (Western Australia), and has clinical experience in Singapore and Australia with the adult and paediatric population in different settings; such as schools, private clinics, home therapies, hospital and community settings.

Deborah has a strong commitment to delivering evidence-based practice and working collaboratively with clients and their caregivers to empower them towards achieving their speech and communication goals. She desires to educate parents on effective techniques to communicate with their children, while enabling them to have fun in the process and build strong bonds. Engaging in a play based approach allows her to be curious about each client as they interact in their own unique way, to form a strong therapeutic relationship. Her interests lie in the areas of paediatric speech and language, literacy and special needs.

She is able to converse in both English and Mandarin, which supports her ability to provide intervention in either language, as well as provide caregiver training to families with bilingual backgrounds.

ABOUT WANDA WIJAYA

SPEECH THERAPIST

Wanda is a fully registered Speech and Language Therapist with the Allied Health Professions Council in Singapore. She also holds an Honours degree in Psychology and is a registered member of the British Psychological Society.

Born in Jakarta, Wanda is a global citizen who was educated and has worked in Singapore, Australia, and the UK. Prior to becoming a Speech and Language Therapist, Wanda was a behavioural therapist and shadow teacher for children with autism. In various capacities, she has experienced working with the adult, geriatric, and paediatric populations in different settings such as schools, private clinics, home therapies, and hospitals.

Wanda works with both children and adults with various difficulties. These include stuttering, speech sound disorders, language delays and disorders, apraxia of speech, selective mutism, social communication disorder, and feeding or swallowing disorders. Regardless of age, Wanda tailors her sessions to meet the needs of every client. This ranges from working with other professionals to involving caregivers in therapy; ensuring that the most supportive environment is created for the clients she sees. Wanda has a genuine, caring personality that helps her build strong connections with her clients and their families. She is also fluent in both English and Bahasa Indonesia, and is happy to conduct therapy in either language.

ABOUT SHAFIQAH

SPEECH THERAPIST 

Shafiqah is a fully registered speech and language therapist under the Allied Health Professional Council in Singapore. She is a graduate of Curtin University in Perth, Western Australia.

In Australia, she has had experience with the paediatric and adult populations in a variety of settings including hospitals, residential aged care facilities, private practices and schools. She has also had experience as a support worker for families of children and adolescents with special needs and was a youth mentor to Australian Indigenous youths in Australia.

In Singapore, Shafiqah has worked with mainly children in the private practice and school settings. She has experience with children with difficulties such as language delays and disorders, social communication disorders, speech sound disorders, and stuttering.

ABOUT ANABELLA SEAH

SPEECH THERAPIST 

Anabella is a fully registered Speech and Language Therapist under the Allied Health Professions Council in Singapore.

Anabella has worked with both children and adults in various capacities. She started her journey with the paediatric population; conducting therapy during home visits, in a special needs school and hospital, and as a shadow teacher in a preschool. She found joy in helping children with special needs communicate more effectively in her roles as a speech therapist and behavioural therapist. Subsequently, she further honed her clinical skills at a local restructured hospital, where she had a varied caseload comprising geriatric patients and adult clients with neurological injuries or other acute medical and surgical conditions. She has helped clients with swallowing impairments, aphasia, dysarthria and apraxia of speech.

Anabella collaborates with families and caregivers to achieve goals through evidence-based approaches. She understands that every individual is unique and strives to ensure therapy is personalized to each individual’s background and needs. Anabella’s fun-loving and genuine personality enables her to build relationships with clients and their families. She believes in making therapy fun and functional, to encourage learning and generalization of skills. In her free time, she enjoys cycling and doing embroidery.

ABOUT JODIE POH

SPEECH THERAPIST 

Jodie is a registered Speech and Language Therapist with the Allied Health Professionals Council (AHPC) in Singapore and is also accredited under Speech Pathology Australia. She earned her master’s degree in Speech Pathology from the University of Melbourne. 

During her time in Australia, Jodie gained valuable experiences working with adults and school-aged children across various settings such as hospitals, community clinics, rehabilitation centres and schools. In Singapore, she worked in an inclusive pre-school supporting the early intervention program (EIP), conducting individual therapy as well as social skills groups. She is experienced with children of neurodiverse backgrounds, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), global developmental delay (GDD), childhood apraxia of speech, as well as speech and language disorder/delays.

Jodie has a bubbly and fun-loving personality and is well-loved by her clients. She keeps therapy fun through play-based intervention and tailors her approach to each child. Jodie recognises the important role caregivers play and involves them heavily throughout the therapeutic journey, where family collaboration is central to success.

When not reading up on the latest evidence or coming up with creative new ideas, Jodie enjoys being a plant-mum, dog-mum and searching for the best coffee in Singapore!

ABOUT KRYSTAL DHARMADJI

SPEECH THERAPIST ASSISTANT

Born in Jakarta and raised in Singapore, Krystal is a graduate of the University of British Columbia with a BA in Speech Sciences and Special Education.

A keen learner who is passionate about therapy and education, Krystal is starting her career with Amazing Speech Therapy as a Speech Therapist Assistant. She will transition to a Speech and Language therapist role once certified with the Allied Health Professions Council Singapore next year.

Prior to this professional role, Krystal has experience with early intervention programs by supporting teachers in classrooms and helping children with self-regulation through intervention practices. She looks forward to interacting with children through therapy and spreading happiness with her cheery disposition.  Krystal believes in the strong values of community, where she aims to foster a safe and supportive environment with the families she works with.

When she’s not helping others, she enjoys breaking a sweat through spin or HIIT classes, advocating for both mental and physical health.

ABOUT SALLY TING

PRINCIPAL OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

Sally completed her occupational therapy degree at the Auckland University of Technology (New Zealand) and is a fully registered occupational therapist with NZOT and AHPC Singapore. She has also completed her Master of Gerontology at SUSS (SG).

She has more than 8 years of working experience in different settings in Singapore.  Her breadth of posting includes but is not limited to Orthopaedics, Geriatrics, Neurology, Rehabilitation and Psychological Medicine. She also has experience working in the community in NZ with children and younger adults.

Sally views her experiences with different client groups have shaped her to provide client centred care, collaborating with families, caregivers and community partners to develop personalised plans to assist with their needs in the home, schools and community.

She also believes in the unique abilities of children with special needs helping them achieve functional tasks and explore their interests through therapy. Sally looks forward to making a difference in each and every one of the young people’s lives she touches.

ABOUT MICHELLE LOW

SPECIAL NEEDS EDUCATOR/ EDUCATIONAL THERAPIST

As a former Allied Educator in an MOE school, Michelle is passionate about working with young children to overcome their difficulties and achieve their potential. Her teaching journey has enabled her to accumulate a vast experience of working with children of diverse behavioural and learning needs such as Autism, ADHD, Global Development Delay and Dyslexia.

Being familiar with the curriculum and demands of mainstream schools, she is able to help children bridge their learning gaps effectively. She is a strong believer that learning takes place during enjoyable experiences and her sessions aim to encourage curiosity, exploration and independence.

Michelle hopes to foster communities that would help children to grow in a safe and healthy environment. She works collaboratively with families and different stakeholders to provide a holistic approach in children’s developing years. She is able to converse fluently in English and Mandarin.

ABOUT VERONICA SEAH

CLINIC MANAGER 

Veronica has extensive working experience spanning over 2 decades and is a valuable asset to the team at Amazing Speech Therapy to assist in administration and operation work.

Previously, she was part of the secretariat team of The Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) and was involved in the set up of the Council and the launch of the Allied Health Professions Act 2011. Veronica managed the general operation of the council and the registration process for Allied Health professionals such as Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Speech Therapists. She also has good experience supporting the Speech Therapist Council Committee and enjoyed the good working relationships with all members.
