VRENDA DORAIRAJ
Speech Therapist
Vrenda earned her master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology from the National University of Singapore (NUS) after completing her Bachelors in Life Science at NUS as well. Vrenda is registered with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) in Singapore.
Vrenda has amassed a diverse range of experience working with both adults and children at acute hospitals as well as in social service organisations. While she finds joy in interacting with both the young and the elderly, her true passion lies with working with children. She has worked with children with speech and/or language disorders with other concomitant conditions like dyslexia, ASD, ADHD and GDD. Giving a voice to little ones is something that is very close to her heart. Vrenda believes that each child is different and as such, understanding each child’s individual needs is paramount in ensuring the success of therapy.
Additionally, Vrenda places strong emphasis on adopting a family-centred approach. She feels that collaborating closely with families is essential for the application of acquired skills beyond therapy sessions. By also engaging various stakeholders who play a role in a child’s life, she’s able to help the child develop in a more holistic manner.
Outside of work, Vrenda enjoys baking, attending fitness classes and playing with her dog.
